Becoming a Jersey Girl
Okay, laugh all you want, but I’m going to New Jersey on vacation this weekend and I’m excited. I’m not going to the New Jersey that I know you’re thinking of, though. Cape May is located on the southernmost tip of the state, drifting down the Atlantic coast and wrapping around westward along the beaches of Delaware Bay. Starting as a successful whaling town, the city is now known for its Victorian-style houses, the beachfront promenade, and general un-Jersey-like quaintness. There are state parks to visit, beaches to lounge upon, birds to be birded, and a bar called Ugly Mug that sounds perfect for me. But I have to go–got a bus to catch. (To be continued…)
Llalan specializes in all things Ohio, but has funny stories from all over the US and Canada, plus a few snort-inducing ones from Thailand. And not only does she read books from around the world, she also samples beers in as many languages as possible. Favorite style: the multi-national American Double IPA.
